I’m not going to be able to make it tonight unfortunately. I really wanted to see Swizzle’s new map updates too…oh well. Have fun everybody.

Of all the screen shots to post you show your revenge on me Akin. I know burn with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns…I’m Invader Scooge on there by the way. At least I got you down to 7 health though. I may have to re-install TF2 tonight.

My computer’s been a real GEM lately over the last few days.
I will have to download Swizzle’s new update to get ready!
Speaking of update, in a few minutes I’m going to update my thread with a copy of my map in progress… I’m not happy with how things are going and I might wind up starting over again.
Comments and advice on how things are sitting currently might convince me otherwise, if the impression is generally positive.

My computer's being an absolute bitch today. It won't let me load up the Source SDK, so the only playable copy of the current map is one that's asymmetrical and has some issues with spawnrooms.
After doing a bit of reading on my particular problem, I have my hard drive defragging in hopes that it's just some files that are a bit too fragmented on the HDD and not an actual issue with the SDK. No guarantees on it actually working out today; things are going slowly.
I'm soooo pissed off right now. :banghead:

Too bad I couldn’t get the caves done today. Oh well, you guys get new bases anyway.

Your map is progressing magnificently, Swizzle. In fact it might be TOO balanced with teams of four… I have no idea how long we wound up playing for in the second round but it was awesome.
A few notes, obviously your texturing isn’t finished yet, but you missed a few spots in the bases, particularly on the first floor.
On the top cliff rounding into Blue Base I kept getting stuck on the sharp edge a lot. It may have been due to latency, I’m not sure, but you might want to use a clip brush on some of the narrower corners to help guide players around the edge instead of getting stuck in it.
And the spawn bug which you fixed already… might want to double check every other spawn just to make sure they’re not marked to the wrong team or “Any”

Anyway, it was tons of fun again tonight! I was being a little bastard as an engineer on that one map, lol.
“Happy valley?” This is CG talk Swizzle! You ought to name your map “the uncanny valley”
