Taking all shading off geometry and seeing only the texture?

#1

i want to get rid of all shading on my object how do do this? all i want to see is the texture i need it to do this at render time.i know you can do this in hardware mode but i need to be abe to do it in software renders.

do you have the ability to set the ambient light at 1?

So you could basically turn off all the direct lights and make ambient = 1.

hmm. i tried the ambeint light but im using transparency so i get a really weird color on half the geometry. i just made a layered texture and use color and transparency and that seemed to work but i am not aboe to get my specular highlights in. give me a minute and ill post pictures of what im trying to achieve

Not sure if you’re using Maya. If so use a Surface Shader to get rid of all shadings.
