Tablet support and XSI like viewport navigation?

#1

Hi,

I just want to know, is there any tablet support for wings? I mean after install if I just pick vertex and start to move it…vertex jumps far far away… If there is some option which allows tablet control, would be nice.

And one another thing about viewport control. Is that possible to assign XSI like navigation? “s” as alt key so, s + LMB = Pan, s + RMB = orbit and s + MMB = Dolly.

Thanks.

for the tablet u have to set the map mode to mouse to make it work in wings
.
(if u have a wacom u can make the custom setting for the werl.exe mapping the pen in mouse mode)

Yes I have wacom tablet and tested with mouse mode, but it woun’t work correctly.

what do u mean by correctly? i mean no pressure support or tilt in wings so u just use the pen in front of a mouse in the same way the mouse work…so no full tablet area…
i sugget u to reduce the pen speed in wacom panel…it helps a lot

actually i use the tablet mostly when in tweak mode and for uv set, for the rest i prefer mouse with wings…

My pen/mouse speed are setted to slowest possible position. Still go crazy when I press alt and try to navigate view or move point, edge, poly… :surprised

Many people dislike XSI’s “s” navigation, although I have no problem with it. I used Wings with Maya camera mode. It’s hard to swtich between the two. One solution is to set XSI to navigate with the Alt key, as well as setting Wings to Maya navigation.
