In this role you will:
Ensuring overall render farm performance and efficiency, maximizing render farm’s resources
Working closely with all other departments to keep on schedule
Recording documentation and information accurately while producing reports
Identifying potential issues and participates in problem solving and tool building activities, making required corrections
Researching, testing and evaluating various software to enhance work productivity
Render Wrangling is typically required into the evenings and on weekends depending on project demands. Flexible working hours is required for this position.
Minimum 1 year experience in a Render Wrangler role
Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Computer animation and/or Information Technology or equivalent professional experience
Candidates with a background in Visual Effects, Animation TV or post-production pipelines.
Strong knowledge of PC hardware with a focus on visual/media systems
Experience in relevant software packages including Maya, Houdini, Nuke, VRay, Redshift, Arnold and other industry-specific software
Experience with render farm management systems such as Deadline Monitor
Experience in Windows, Mac and Linux platforms and production management systems like Shotgun
Experience in scripting such as Python is beneficial
Eligible to work in Canada
