Never used Superblender before. Messiah 2.1 crashes whenever I begin “Autosetup” routine - using latest version of Superblender (v 1.0c). Messiah 1.5 works fine with Superblender (v.11) and same object. Kind of wanted to work in 2.1, oh well.
Anyone else experiencing this?
In general I’m finding 2.1b to be far less stable than 2.0. Lots more random crashes, and not just on multiple scene loads.
have you tried to delete the ‘messiahPython.mp’ file from the ‘Plugins’ folder? I found that it seems to cause instability not only with loading/replacing scenes but also in some other areas (e.g. it caused my C4D connection to crash every time I would add a bone to an object). So my random guess would be that it might also affect some areas of ‘SuperBlender’ as well.
Without the Python plugin, ‘AutoRig’ doesn’t work anymore, but pmG is anyway on the way of fixing all this.
Gee, no, I’d never heard that. Is that a distributed rendering plug-in? I’ll definitely try it. I don’t use autorig, so that wouldn’t be a problem for me.
I finally got Superblender to work by going back into LW and freezing my object, which I did NOT want to do. I wanted to continue work in MetaNurbs.
It was probably some anomaly in my object, because even though it worked in Mess 1.5, it did crash a few times before it finally loaded right.
I’ll do the search, but I downloaded the latest version straight from the author’s website (I thought it was 1.0c, but I was wiped last night, so…) .
Once again, thanks Jules. And if I haven’t said it personally, I have learned A LOT from your Messiah tutorials. Just been a tremendous resource for me.
