Hi Tom,

I´m curious about your idea, but it defenitely will be great

An early concept sketch.

The most famous mouse is acting a bit strange lately. Maybe all the glory and public attention finally have taken their toll.

The idea is not just to kind of invert the personality of Mickey but also to transfer him from the comic world to the reality by adding wrinkles, muscles and other marks of life. The final image is supposed to be rendered as photorealistic as possible, so that the impression of reality is pushed even more.
I am also planning to add Minni Mouse somewhere beside the throne thing.

I think I also have to give credit to Walt Disney, since the characters are heavily inspired by Mickey Mouse, as one might notice when looking very closely

More blah and images will follow the coming days. Got to go to sleep quickly.

Cheers …

This is my base mesh of Mickey. I am not really happy with the proportions yet.

After getting those proportions right, I will start modeling the chair or whatever he will sit on and gonna pose him.

Eager for getting some feedback … especially regarding the proportions.

Thanks a lot, Playmobil!

Sorry to disappoint you, but beside Photoshop there will also be used a lot of zBrush and MentalRay. I got a lack of exercise in painting … unfortunately.
