a composition study of my first idea…it’s trees peeing on dogs…the problem here is to make trees peeing without being ofensive(without show tree penis)
let’s just say that he prepare “exotique” food…
now I’m just sketching whatever comes to mind…until I come up something good…
Hi Renan,
Nice sketches, I’ll keep an eye on this thread.
Best of luck in this challenge =)
So I take it you’re not really a dog lover, are you?
Nice sketches so far. Of the chefs, I like the lower two more: they seem like they’re intentionally evil, while the top one just seems kind of thick. If you’re going to be cooking evil dishes, you should look evil, imho. Good luck with it!
looks delicious. But i’ll wait them until cooked.
Nice sketches. I like especially the emotions on faces. Dog is really sweet.
good luck.
Great concept! It reminds me of an urban myth of a woman who used to take her dog walking & when it rained she would put him in her oven on a really low temperature to dry him off. The myth goes that one day she was bought a brand new microwave, so after some heavy rain she came home, popped the dog in & set it to defrost for 20 minutes… Aaand from then on her veterinary bills were much smaller.
Anyway, enough rambling from me - great sketches, looking forward to your composition!
this is a new ideia i have…it’s about a group of characters from a fantasy book that were tired of clean rivers and fresh air and decided to explore our world…the world out of the book…
I want to make the characters amazed with guns and blood and stuff like that…
in this sketch they are on a table in a crime scene room or something…
I like your Cyclops design – You have a real knack for sketching engaging, relatable characters. I guess that’s why your original tree idea probably wouldn’t have worked (aside from the tree p*nis issue); your dogs were so endearing and sad that it just produces that wrongity-wrong feeling to imagine them being peed on
This latest concept is a cool one. There are an abundance of stories where people get sucked into books; there are virtually none where they’re being regurgitated out.
Maybe you could bring the dragon further into the composition though? He’s just kind of on his own up in that corner; if you pulled him further to the left you’d not only be able to show him off better, but have him more involved in the scene by having his wing intersect with the silhouette of the cyclops.
Good start, man, keep pushing ![]()
