I do not think this is all that close to the brief. you say she is turneing ugly due to her strange behaviors but the brief tells us to depict a strange behviour and perhaps a relationship of some kind. i am really not sure about the head on top of the head, although you would have a description for it at end the final piece would not obvioulsy be screaming out to the audience thats a strange behaviour, if yu know what i mean.

i would adapt the idea a bit more or try some others out as i do not think this is very strong idea as far as the composition goes… although your painting style is quite nice.

EDIT- PS, reading your idea again it might make more sence and for a better painting if the ugly women was looking in a mirror and we saw what she thinks she sees, a bueatiful women. you know what i mean. add ll little deatialsm in the background of her strange behavious that have made her so twisted etc. hope i am making sence… just woke up

Well Mokhatib, your idea is kinda new, good job, and your painting is great as usual…

but, as WIL has said, i think the painting is not very clear, but it’s still early to tell… :slight_smile:

Hey guys, Thanx for the comments I think I agree with you WIL that I got a bit distracted with my idea and forgot to focus on the main concept “which was picturing a strange behavior”, I’ll try to abstract the idea a bit more coz I think its just so general, but am not sure about the woman with the mirror thing “I think it’s quiet used”

am really confused at this point :sad: about which direction should I take about my concept, I want to achieve something “classical” but I donno I was browsing around other threads and most of them are taking a Toonish style which is more funny and most of them are full of humor.

I need help guys or an advice should I stick to that last concept I came up with and develop or try a totally different approach? “I don wanna run of out of time u know”

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

I agree with you not only about the leg thing, I just didn’t study the whole pose quiet enough for the angle and the demon too. “and I wonbt until I decide to take this concept further”

I realy like the caricature sketch of the crazy lady, she would make a great sword swallower for the strange behaviour. Your style is fantastic, try not to get caught up by other peoples threads, follow your own path and do what makes you happy, from what i can see you definately have the skill set to produce a wonderful image.

Cheers all, I didn’t have enough time lately to develop these two or even come with something new, and as some of you know I’ve been really confused about which approach I should take, so please vote for you’re favorite sketch.

If you like the ugly crazy woman sketch just reply with “Crazy”
If you like the “can’t let go” sketch just reply with “Let go”

I know this might look odd what am doing here, but believe me it will be a big help “I’ll appreciate it big time”

I like the spirit of that image more, and I think it’s a stranger behaviour than the other one…

As far as which image I like better, I find the ‘Can’t Let Go’ picture much mroe beautiful. However, I don’t know if it works as well for this contest. I wouldn’t have known what the Strange Behaviour was unless I ready your posts: It doesn’t look like he’s clinging on to her, it reads more as religious imagery that I can’t tell what the theme is. So some work to better tie it to the Challenge theme would be nice too. But I’m just adding my opinion because you asked us to vote. :shrug: Good luck!

Actually, Crazy is more developed right now and the sketch is very solid but i see a lot of potential in ‘let go’

Walrus is right. it’s a little confusing at first, but you can find the way to make it work and fit it more into the theme, you know, is some kind of masochism after all:shrug:. That’s damn strange no matter how many times you fall into it.

Good luck with the poll! In the end you will know exactly which one you want to do, regardless of what the result is.

nice work! i like the head popping out of the head…maybe the bigger head should be tilted a bit or in 3/4 front so its not so flat and then again maybe its something u r trying to say…nice one with the angel too…have fun and good luck :slight_smile:

tahts a hard thing to vote on but i think i would have to go for crazy for this competion but only if it s developed a different way thne head stuck on another head… other wise it’s let go… as othes said add a bit more to it to make tings clear.

so crazy is my vote just to be clear.

Its difficult to say by wich you are due to decide. Like the other posts, I think that the strange behavior its not clear or is a lot conceptual. The “demon and angel” is a subject already used by another one within this challenge. The beauty that thinks that she is ugly is very conceptual ( I think is more clear if a beautiful woman use auto mutilation to be accepted for others - a very dark idea - ) Only a comment and like Obi Wan says " MoKhatib, trust your feelings" :slight_smile:
