Trying to stay within my skill level
- want really convey that she removed a sliver of the stained glass to listen in on the sermon…
D,
you could put the removed peice of stained glass in her hand, and have the missing peice in that blue guy, and show holy light shining through, i didnt even notice the stained glass on the sill intill after i read your post
Sounds like a great idea, and an opportunity for some caustics and light fog practice for me - thanks.
D,
i like this concept ,it could have a great lighting with a dusty atmosphere.
the womans pose seems very dramatic i think.
Cool ![]()

Micro26 - Thank you, I have to look into the best way to add dust mites - either through MAYA or maybe in post processing - nice sugestion.
mim - hey man
thank you for stopping by, I can’t seem to find your thread are you in this one? I’ll be updating the cathedral wall soon as I worked on it last night - I am back from taking a break from personal projects as I was not finishing them, but this one will get finished
edit changed my contact lenses your thread is right there in your signature
D,
i like this scene. at last some demon liked to change and repent. that i think is one of the good news so far!
Ok Guys, I have a question/dilema: I have been trying to paint my own churchie like stained glass window in my free time after work, but I just can’t paint in photoshop yet. Is it or would it be TABU to use an existing window or work of art on my 3D scene? Or what do you suggest I do? I have googled some nice references, but not sure if that would DQ me…
Also if someone has seen a stainglass pattern with an image only made of the colored glass shards and not painted would also be a solution, as I have only seen painted stained glass windows on all of the cathedrals I have researched.
Thanks so much,
EDIT
I just had an epiphany, I could always vectorize a classic cathedral window and make it into a patterned version with the colored glass shards instead of being painted like in m concept sketch…not sure just thinking out loud.
