This is my first competicion on cg society…
I,m not a pro…so I,m not shore if I can do this…but I,ll try…
My idea: I want to make two stoned cockroaches in a photorealistick enviroment :slight_smile:

this is the rigged version of the head … now I will start working on the body…
I think the greatest obstacle will be texturing this model :stuck_out_tongue:

this is the unfinished model of the torax(body) after i finish this I’ll make the legs and the abdomen… The next thing that I’ll submit will be a sketch with the idea (story)

Hy… I’m back in business :slight_smile:
Here is a test render of my unfinished cockroach model.
I added some effects to the image with PhotoFiltre & Photoshop just for fun…

I’m done with the model… I just need to texture it…
This is a test render… i can’t wait to put the joint in his hand (leg) :slight_smile:
There will be 2 stoned roaches in the final image

Very cool :slight_smile: I would sugget having him holdin the joint away from his body, though, or passing it to a roach beside him. The roach has a very broad silhouette, and to make the gesture recognizable, it’ll help if the action is breaking that silhouette.

Lol very funny and cool idea. Im looking forward to seeing where this one goes. Consider my eye on this topic.

And I also agree with Chrisbeaver on this one. I think having him hold it away from his body would certainly be beneficial.

Hi, I’m new to illustration and not a “pro” either…so take my input for what it’s worth…

But your model looks nice.

I like the concept too. Lots of fun stuff you could do with that (munchies…halucinations…etc…)

Might also be interesting to know what got them high…are they high on Bug spray?

… here is the textured head… I used a car paint material. Render V-ray… I used Photoshop & Google search engine for texturing =))
