A pre-vis just to show what I’m thinking about. I have a few more ideas that may tell the story a bit better…i’ll post them in a bit.
hi there! that’s an interesting concept. I think that if you want to show how the glider is trying to fly with the cycolone in the vicinity as a strange behaviour the angle should incorporate the scale and danger of the cyclone to emphasise the strangeness of it. So I think a shot with the tornado up close would be more suitable IMO. I think the one with him running to launch is a good angle: it looks as though he’s racing the tornado…and it looks more interesting i thik in that it’s more than a few people gliding in front of the vortex. Keep it up !
Thanks for the input, I will def. put some more action into the image. And I will take the angle more extreme…still playing with what I actualy want. I am thinking to sell the danger of the tornado/behavior, I am going to add maybe a huge barn being destroyed in the background, and one of the guys in the air is going to be sucked up into the twister. That may sell the strangness a bit better. Thanks again.
Hi! ur composition caught my eye while i was browsing thru.! Very interesting! I will follow your thread~ =)
my viewpoint: the psychology part of running away from dangers is not very strange but it could be a strange experience for the character to do something else instead of running away~
try to add some surprising element on the characters themselves, wad will they do beside running away from danger, etc. =) hope this helps.
Hey Fata, thanks for the comments. My goal is not to depict the characters running away from the danger, as the strange behavior of the event itself is not scary or dangerous to them. I am still thinking of ways I could depict them not being afraid. That is the problem i run into with the character taking off in front of the twister…makes it look as though they are trying to get away. I feel my only solution is to make one of the characters faces more visable to the audience to show their expression of being fearless. Thanks for the comments, and I hope to have something up soon, its so hard to do this on free time…takes alot of determination and patience.
oh! i understand your intention now! =D
i don’t know how to put in words, but the idea of surfing just pop in my head~
Good luck!!
