When is the deadline?
On the original thread there is a date posted something like October- Is
that the contest end- I’ve scouted around for a deadline for entries but haven’t come up with anything yet. Just checking to make sure.
BTW- Have always wanted to participate in one of these challenges. Better way to show a WIP and get myself up to speed for the long overpromised/overdue workshop.

Here is the initial concept for my entry.
Not really final thunbnails- more just exploring the extent and subject matter.
I wanted to push the theme but be topical to this forum and today’s society.
Unusual behavior and relationships.
I want to explore how people are beginning to have more and more of a relationship with their computers and their computer personalities than with actual real life partners.
I also want to play on how the industry is continually pushing their efforts to make sleeker and sexier machines.
Lastly is the digital world’s love affair with pornography on the internet.
I’m hoping to illustrate the passionate affairs that people have started with their hardware,
an hi speed connections, as it developes with technology of the future and becomes more and more demented or accepted behavior.
To the Moderators: the real challenge is making this illustration humourous and thought provoking while keeping it clean. Do not fear- I am going to strive to make this work while steering clear of the obvious and explicit.

hehe, nice idea. I tried to cover that idea a bit in the Master & Servent competetion. I’ve got three monitors set up on my computer one is a cintque and I want to add another, it sure makes it easier to view more than one thing at a time, hint hint.
I’m looking forward to the progressions.

I got a phone call this afternoon that my friend, Glen, was no longer with us…I still don’t know what to make of that. I sat next to Glen for 2 years at Raven…he started the day I did, though technically signed his papers the day before but oh well. He had a lot to do with me doing freelance work for Wizards. I have series of images and memories that run by when I think of him…I cannot for the life of me believe that he is gone.
Glen always wanted to be know as a great illustrator and I think that at the end of it all he truely was. He was not technically the best but people responded to the art that he created and ulimately that is what a great illustration or illustrator does. His work stands for itself, no one can add to it nor dimenish it any longer.
About 10 seconds after I heard this news this afternoon my first thought was what does Caroline, his wife, and 2 kids do. It is the natural reaction of anyone that has a similiar situation, a family. To them I offer my condolences and wishes for a ease to their pain. It won’t come now or anytime soon but if prayer has power then I would like to send that along.
I appologize if some feel this is not the forum for this, honestly, at this point I’m a bit stunned and just want to yell really loud…I suppose this is a way of doing that. This all seems incredibly unfair. Life is unfair and that is the truth. But sometimes it seems especially cruel. Glen, my friend, you will be missed…for your art and your personality.

Der are still alot of things he wanna shares wif us.
This is the first time i want to observe & learn from the Master. I neva expect something on the way.
How long Gangus had been diseased? I wonder he was doing the artwork under such condition?!
RIP Gangus. Please stay strong to the family, wife & adorable kids~.

hey nice concept going on here.My only opnion will be if can somehow show his face rather than the back or may be some other angle where his back is not that prominent.
