Good luck!!!

@Geta-Ve:thank you, good luck to you!
okay, a few words to my idea (sorry if my english sounds funny from time to time…)
the main idea of the picture appeared to me some years ago. it was the time when bush started his war against the rest of the world. nearly every day i saw anti-war protests on the street in front of my window. people waving signs with funny slogans about how evil bush is…
my favourit one was “war against war!” where the author lost his topic somewhere in the middle of these three words…
these days i never heard anything about environment-problems, child-prostitution, hunger, dying animals… -only war!
i had the idea of a man in his late 40th, walking in the middle of the angry anti-war mob, wearing a whale-dress, carrying a save-the-whale sign. probably some expression on his face, telling us how it slowly appears to him that he might be a little “off-topic”.
i hope i am not off-topic here!! but i believe it could be a funny picture.
any opinion? anyone?
I like your idea very much, it made me chuckle - the seriousness of war gets poeple very fired up (excuse the pun) - especially like the whale outfit - a nice humurous contrast. Was wondering if the absurdity/seriuosness could be increased further somehow?
Great start and good luck!
go on drawing it, adding some architecture and more people…
sketching the expressions…
i want the whaleman look very lost there.
for the illustration, he will pop out by the color.
the use of perspective is very good… and the two guys at left side are so expresive although is a sketch
nice
Hi, Arne! Nice concept so far! I like the idea of the guy in the whale outfit - very funny! One of the things that I think worked really well in your very first sketch is how there were lots of signs, but they were around the edges and framed the piece well. In this new sketch, you’ve got one sign that takes center stage, and as it will be relatively flat, might distract from the real focus of the image. Have you considerred rotating the whole sign, stick and all, counter-clockwise to move it off to the left, further away from the center of the piece?
Anyhow, just an idea… good luck!
