Hey Flewk, couldn’t resist it huh?

Looking forward to see your ideas!

When the great depression started among the farmers fields in 2004, the animals were invaded daily by the foxes of the Yorkshire. But alas a saviour has come to tame the wild beast and save the farm from future invasions. Today we stand, the day of the fox has ended, now it is the day of the COW!

#4

As much practice as I can get

My cow looks like a half breed form a horse! This was done with very little to no referance and I never really go to the fields and stare at cows all day!

Since using digital I feel a pencil is now treachous! I need to use a wacom…a wacom. So in the future it will probably be done with photoshop or something!

#5

That IS pretty strange behaviour! How are you going to show the story’s background in this picture? You need to be able to figure out generally what’s going on…maybe a window out of which you can see chickens being chased by foxes…?

#6

Yes, definatly!

My style in which I work, or atleast my mind, is strange in itself. What I do is ‘think’ out on paper rather than out loud of through mindmaps/thumbnails. You could say this style is a variation of a thumbnail.

So what you see here is the very foundation of an idea and not the actual image itself. It might not even be in the barn, it could be on the cow-field with the barn overlooking it with foxes bowing before the lord cow, while rogue foxes are being chased by other cows. I may even give the lord cow a certain distinct colour, or even have it as a bull.

You ought to see my college sketchbooks :stuck_out_tongue: (lots of messy rough sketches all over the place!)

edit: btw when is the deadline? I cannot seem to find it.

I have taken a different approach with this one. I am thinking of a little girl walking towards the light and around her are orcs, giants, goblins and such cowing before her.

#8

Just given it more body. I will now start playing with different angles and lighting.

#9

Good to see you are exploring ideas…

Here is a quick one. I thought about Christmas and thought how much of a strange behaviour we are all taking part in by having a TREE that is ALIVE in our homes. No one else think that is strange behaviour?

Okay, what about a fat guy in a vibrant blood-red fluffy suit, OLD, lives at the borth pole that no one really can live because it is uninhabital (some may for research needs). He also has children sit on his knee every christmas, not even Mr Jackson had that (sick AND strange :D). Also how does a fat guy come down a chimney? Especially when the fireplace is ignited.

Don’t worry it is just an idea, I doubt this one will be aloud, although as artists we should be able to voice our opinions

The eyes work in shifts. You ever wonder why you need to sleep at night and ‘feel’ tired? It is because of the little guys that live in your cranium. When the guys on shift start to get drowsy, they attempt to shut you down so that they can clean the place up for the next guys on shift. The dude you see with the nose is the superviser and will watch over them to make sure no one is sleeping on the job. People with a ‘lazy’ eye are an example of the superviser slacking and an eye that is too sleepy to keep awake.

I am still trying to figure out how SB Pro 2 works, my drawings seem to rough and digital at the moment

HAHA . . . love the eye concept. Definitely strange behavior for my eyes . . . scares me to think what it looks like in there since I don’t get to sleep enough . . . must be a pig sty

#13

Ever wonder if your eyes have a life of their own? Ever wonder where peoples eyes go when the people are sleeping?

It has become known fact that eyes are parasites that live within the skull, walking, or slivering in this case, on the fibres of the inner flesh.

*This is still in Grayscale development.

I thought the last idea was a little too civil, so I have moved it up a step by making is more organic.

#15

Here is just a colour pass to see what things look like. A lot still needs to be fixed and added.

#16

I have just thought up a fitting title: Love at First Sight.

In the big city the thieves guild try to take care of the poor populous, but recently, with epic national wars, money and grain as dwindled. They had to act fast as many beggers will become aggressive if the their only food source is cut. So what the thieves did, which is their second best skill, is to create a rumour among the city that there was free food, even better that the food is pork, beef, and chicken! The starving beggers were out of the city like a flash and the countryside was in torment by random beggers trying to steal/eat their livestock.

In this particular image the begger is stealing the pig but the pig has other plans and is fighting back. The begger on the other hand never knew the pig was dangerous and is now trying to kill the beast in order to keep himself from harm.

I like this idea as it has a little of everything, but my main goal is to create an image with humour. This sketch is only a rough one to see if I could generate an idea, and I did, now that this has bee achieved I will see about breaking the scene up into segments and seeing if a better composition can be had, an all the other various processes.
