Strange Behavior (Animation) Entry: michel prins

#41

did my first animation test with robot and its looking fine.

#42

had problems with getting the uv map out with only the selected faces, must be an error in the script or incompatebillity with the 2.44 blender version, I worked around it by taking a screen capture and use that instead. Oh well.I think the fresh colors of the gym turned out fine.

#43

had the comp render for 5 hour but ican see now how the end product is going to be, great.

#44

#45

next one will be the one to upload as entry. computer stopped just rendering the last frame now I only have to edit them togeteher and add some sound.

#46

uploaded the flv animation and the big jpg via the cg uploader.

#47

no tiff upload possible via ftp!!! In the rules it said I also had to upload an tiff in above 300 dpi format , but the website wont let me, when I enter animation as challenge it says no need for tiff upload and when i choose illustration it says youre not taking part. I assume you changed the rules midway, nice to keep us posted. If not I expect a staffmember to inform me personaly that a tiff file is still required and the not being able to a slipup of the webdevellopper. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

goodluck to the other entrants.

Ps. I worked all weekend to get the bloody thing finished and today i get an email the deadline is postponed 2 weeks. Talking about strage behaviour

I made my entry mainly with opensource software, only the last hours i used magix music maker to quickly merge the video and sound together as I didnt had time to find out the quirky way it worked in blender.

Fantastic! Texturing is very good and i am waiting for this robot to move. I like that golden silver one most!
Good luck with uploads.

You could throw some sampleloop in Kraftwerk style

#49

I think tiff is just necessary for illustration category, they also have to make it at high resolution, because they want to print it somewhere.

but where’s your flv, I can’t see it, am I blind?

the render is nice.

#50

Hmm , guess a tiff isnt nessesary for animation entrys, the flv was uploaded through the special uploader where it went I dont know, are the animations of other participants visible?

#51

I tried for 2 days to submit the final rendered movie but the uploader is faulty. So i uploaded to youtube. Email me the ftp settings so I can upload the flv directly to cgnet for judgement. Using a beta uploader for a contest isnt that profesional. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

for the people who like to see the end result, mind the quality is low due to flv compression.
