still: Shoe

#1

Hi there, haven’t modelled for quite some time. did this last sat nite while watching the euro 2004 match. c&c are welcome. Thanks in advance.

#2

could you show a wireframe, that would be cool.

ok, maybe just seems like the laces are floating a little, especially on the back shoe it wouldn’t stick up in the air like that. the back shoe also seems to be hovering above the ground a little. the top of the shoe seems a little small but i guess thats how it would look.

the criss cross pattern on the edges seems to be stretched in places and squashed in others. other than that i can’t think of anything else to crit on.

The rubber texture on the toe and sole of the front shoe looks really nice. You have a little too much depth of field on the back shoe. I don’t think it would be that blurry. Also with such a nice bump mapping job on the rubber texture the canvas texture looks really flat.

Hi sempiternal - Thanks for the comments. Yeap, i also noticed that the lace and the 2nd shoe are floating in the air, too lazy to change then, hee, hee. Will fix that tonite. Will try to post the wire tomorrow.

Hi Dra(hen - Thanks for the comments also. The DOF effect is indeed slightly too strong. Will fix that. As for the canvas texture, will check around for better fabric material.

cheers!
