Once again Max and photoshop!
Hope you like!
still : ...Recurrence
I realy like the concept of this. Its very “illustrative”
However there are some things that look weird to me, like for example the keyboard of the laptop it is realy dark or intentionally dark textured? also you could use a fill light comming from the camera angle, to lit the sides of both laptop and abacus a little better, not much to lose the contrast, just a little bit so that you don’t lose the detail totally in the shadow.
I like the abacus material, but i think the metal texture needs some tweaking, you need to have difference in specularity between the rusted parts and the painted parts, what i would do, would be to make a larger resolution texture because its kinda blurry now, and put a bump that allows for the painted part of the metal to be distinguished from the rusted and scrached parts. Just a few friendly suggestions…
Keep up the good work patrioti!
Thanks guys!
Well <Dennik> “filarako” thanks for your feedback!
The image was really hard touched by photoshop!
The blurry effect was done in purpose!
Also there is a fill light that coming with the camera!
Thanks in advance!
Some technical stuff!
Program : 3D sudio Max 6
Renderer : Default scanline render, no advanced lighting!
Lights : 2 omni lights, 3 directional lights.
Reder time : 40-50 sec.
Thanks again guys!
Hey man, I like your idea, consept is cool, it has an underground feeling and painting style, althoug I would prefer the environment follow the recurrence too…
A little suggestion is to smooth the environment so it shows the change of time.
Keep up the good work!!! :buttrock:

the whole composition and retouching… and background texture too ))

amazing work mike…i love the textures especially on the wall…
love the laptop because i dont have now i need one
synexise etsiiiii…![]()
I like the composition. Great piece. Only thing that bothers me is that the abacus pieces look fake, sort of stands out from the phtorealism of the rest of the piece. Not unless that was intentional. Otherwise, good job.
