still: Finger BEE

#1

Hi everybody,
It’s my first post here…

I did this Bee to a Tv advertising, but it will appear very small in the frame, soo It’s the better way to show some details of my work in this still.
I wanted to make the most photo-realistic Bee wich I could in my short deadlline, in a week.
I used Electricimage Universe to model and render, the fur was did using Placer Deposit from http://www.northernlights3d.com
The Bee was modeled in Übernurbs (Electricimage SDS) by my modelmaker Fernando Barros then I added the fur, lights, textures and rendered in Universe Camera in passes.

Hope you like it.

I can’t believe it’s CG!!! Please put some wires and other renders; this looks absolutely awesome!!

#4

Finger and human aren’t CG, correct?

I would love to see some wires too, this is incredible with it’s detail and realism. But no matter what it is, I’d want to see a wire, haha. The only thing I can think of that looks a tiny bit weird is the positioning on the finger.

That fur turned out really well.

Kudos :applause:

Hi,

Thank you very much,
Yeap, the human face and the finger are real (me…hehehe).
And this is my Oclussion pass, sorry the image compress took some quality of the image.
I choose this position on the finger because of my Depth Focal Position on the real Photo, otherwise I would lost a lot of detail if I choosed a position far way from that point.

You have blurred the overall image to get a photorealistic effect.
Ur composition is ok.

Send another post with the model in fine crisp details…
That will really credit ur hard work.

There’s no light interaction between the bee and the finger - very nice bee, but it looks like it’s cut out and stuckl on the ifnger in 2d
