still: Abandoned Place

Thank you everybody…
I use Maya 5 and a mix of mental ray (with GI and final gathering) and maya software (for volumetric).
About 20mn for the main passe.

For $imon > yess i try to make an image with a mysterious feeling and the spectator is totaly free about the sense…

And ok, i’ll try to add more details in the next render…

the lighting is good.

Maybe you can add some boxes who gives more shadows.
It seem´s really bright.

#23

my only crit is that the barrel looks slanted…other than that I really like the Graffiti

#24

Thank you for coments

For Saikin, i use a camera with 25mm focal lenght and that’s why the barrel looks slanted…

#25

#29

do you worked with 3dtotal textures?..
a silly question…how long did it take to create the whole scene (just geometry)?
last but not least…defenetly a great work!

#30

Yess Profane, i use a mix between some 3dtotal textures and personal photography.
For geometry : 2 days of working.
And again thank you for your coments !!

#31

It’s cool. I like it, specially the lighting and textures

#32

The Colors and Textures are very good!
I love this style.

#33

Beautiful, The textures on the wall are outstanding.

#34

Thank you for coments !!

#35

I love the feel of the image. Very good indeed.
A couple of modelling points:
How’s the roof being kept up? The rafters supporting the roof aren’t supported by any verticle supports. The apex of the roof should just sink in.
Are the rafters going through the roofing material?
