Haven’t 100% decided on a subject, but I figure I’ll use steam, so I started on a boiler.

Leaning towards Sirens (a la Argonauts)

Wikipedia: “In Greek mythology, the Sirens (Greek singular: Σειρήν Seirēn; Greek plural: Σειρῆνες Seirēnes) were three dangerous bird-women, portrayed as seductresses, who lived on an island called Sirenum scopuli … All locations were surrounded by cliffs and rocks. Seamen who sailed near were decoyed by the Sirens’ enchanting music and voices to shipwreck on the rocky coast.”

Siren song is so last millennium. Giant steam-powered phonographs is where it’s at.
