Steampunk Myths and Legends Entry: William Schneller
Hi Everyone,
I can finally post some of the progress we have had on our challenge Entry. We had started a thread with RCook03, but seeing as how I have all the stuff right now, I will just upload our stuff here.
First a brief summary of our theme:
We wish to illustrate the Gigantomachica, or battle of Gods and Giants, in the steampunk style. We are trying to stay under 3 minutes with this, but there is so much we could eleborate on. Right now our basic premise is to show a few of the Titans locked up in Tartarus, and give a brief glimpse at Hades. At some point the Giants will begin attacking Mt Olympus, which is actually a flying city (or hovering if you will). We hope to show some action scenes showing an immense battle, showing the gods fighting off their foes, as well as Hercules paricticipating in the action, as the gods need him to win.
What follows is a rough storyboard showing the Giants apporaching Olympus, as well as some initial sketches of varioius environment and characters. Very rough indeed.
We are very late in the race it seems, but I have a feeling that in the following month when school is done we will eat, sleep and breathe steampunk! :buttrock:
