Interesting story… I really like the designs for the ‘companion’. Totally steampunk!
Steampunk Myths and Legends Entry: Slav Kravchenko
yaya, it looks much better now! I do suggest putting Ivan a little higher in the frame, so he’s looking ‘down’ at the scene, may give it more depth?
Aside from that, :arteest: ![]()
haha, i almost did baba yaga too. I always loved the whole story of a house with chicken legs. Anyway, your concept is looking great so far, keep it up
I did a bit of work on the costume. I decided to go punk rock on him. his gun should be cool but that’s to come.
Hey Slav,
Nice arachnid,I think your missing a set of legs though. The model looks awesome. Great work!
Brad
Hey Slav,
Great sketchs!! Love your scout robot sketch, awesome, and the model of the spider is superb. Really great work! Waiting for more updates!
Cheers!!
Really nice concept and take on the story. Nice sketches and model as well. Hope to see more updates soon
really dig the model dude!
would’ve loved to see it animated!
looking forward to your next update
good luck mate! ![]()
I drew these up a few weeks ago now, and finally I can show the final model along side the plans. whats coming up; I need to finish Ivan’s gun, rig the house and start painting!
I don’t believe I am going to texture this, i tried to texture the scout and it was taking a horribly long time, so, to save on that I am just going to texture it in the painting stage.
background color. working my way slowly to the front. i am not so sure about the cape now, but i know for sure ill have to give him some kind of mask. they are just soo cool! and perhaps some gadgets. with lights and what not to emphasize the back a bit.
ah there you are! Nice work as always!
But I prefer the figure to be smaller and more in front of the lighter parts.
He’s kinda disappearing in the rocks right now and it looks less cinematic…
But hey, it might all be personal preference!
Digging the colors and lighting!
whats up Slav! i have to agree with Hideyoshi, i think your first sketches looked a little more cinematic, also the first pose was a little more dynamic because he looked like he was resting his upper body (not just his arm) on top of his leg, but the background is looking great.
im looking forward to the next update:wip:
