This will be great to follow.

Hey Rudy

This is a really good idea for the challenge. Nice moody sketch too. Have fun with this and good luck.

Cheers,

Time for the first wip shot.
Started working on the base hull as well as some of the detail.
The thought is to have two giant steam turbines attached to the sides.
Still experimenting with the shape on those before i can start attaching them to the hull.

#10

lol that idea is the coolest ever keep going :arteest:

#11

Loving the concept & initial art; Will follow closely!

#12

Thanks guys.
I actually hate the thing already. All those darn rounded curved shapes…

Well, guess it´s why it´s called a challenge.

#13

More on the hull.
Still a long way to go as most of this will be covered with all sorts of stuff, but so far i´m quite pleased with the result.

#14

great concept! really liking the progress as well!:arteest:

#15

That’s very nice modelling  And the design looks very steam punky to me.

#16

Wow! That is really cool looking, can’t wait to see more! Love the paddle design you used, not as regular as some. Can’t wait to see the rest of the ship

#17

Those renders are looking very promising Rudolf! Good luck!

#18

Promising Concept and great Modeling
And nice to see another unbiased engine User in the Challenge

Edit: Or is it AR3?

#19

Thanks.

I use Maxwell to render out the stuff.

#20

Hey Rochr, great work so far! Also it is good to see another cinema user on board. Good luck man.

#21

Great to see you in here Rudy! Best of luck, looks great so far mate!

After a short break, i can finally continue with the ship.

There are still some modeling left to do, mostly some additional detail work on the stern as well as the deck and chimneys. Plus i also need to do some more work on the bow.
Most of the stern will most likely not be visible in the final scene anyway, but i never liked half finished models.

#23

I am admired by modelling level. Magnificent detailed elaboration and accurate modelling. There are no superfluous details, all looks naturally, it seems to me that it is the present mechanism! :buttrock: Good luck!

#24

Impressive amount of Detail, keep it coming

#25

Very nice. Love the details

#26

Great design, gorgeous detailing… what they said!
