my take is based on the beauty and the beast, but in a story where the beast outlive her beauty. he is already a prince, he already found true love, but something happened…

here, the steam technology keeps alive what he once loved. althought she has a mechanical body, her feelings, memories and consciousness live inside. isn’t that what counts?

the sketch shows more or less the angle of the scene. i’m thinking on some candles and a nightsky. while the sketch shows ‘the beauty’ in a more techno style, im aware that i have to include a lot of gears, valves and old looking textures to give the steampunk look. this will contribute the idea of a heavy, old, rusted body containing what he loves most.

i don?t need a whole body, so i’ll divide the modeling work into the parts i need. first, the torso of the doll. actually, i just need a shell of torso, made with different parts, so i modeled a very basic poly model. the idea, is take this model and make it live, so i can draw curves over it and make the surfaces of the shell, later on…
