And a quick test of shading just to see how it works enven if in the final image it will be very different, because here it’s modo rendering, while in the final image i will use Mental ray in maya :wink:

Minor suggestion , I would have seen the metal more like a rusty one , made some recup to build it. But As you said , I guess it’s a just an early test.

I have an idea for the textures , maybe not clean textures and a special ambiance? But i’m not sure yet …

Here is my last update of the day.
It’s almost finish. It remains tubes and a good pose. But Gepetto is creating him so all is not finished and for example there is no hand, etc …

there’s many possible choice… of course, for a special moor… not clean textures could be good…
but in other hand… his son was just made… he’s new… just born… Gepetto take much attention to create it with clean pieces with quality.
Then, maybe you can do 2 types of textures… a bit dirty for all… but very clean for Pinocchio…
also like that, you could have a very good contrast in the picture, between him… and the environment !

Because i was not completely happy with the last pinocchio i try to do a new one. So this is it and it’s not finished. For the head and the feet i am not sure. For the head i thought that we could see a mecanism which move the eyes and the eyes could be more real (it’s just an idea).
