Hi all,
So here is an update.

So for today two images.
A brut render of Mental ray to begin.
It remains many things to do : the shaders of the clothes of Gepetto, his eyes, his hands, the bocal. For now i remove the rat and because of time i don’t know if i let him or not, what do you think ?
Finally all is in progress …

#189

For the second image i did a fast retouch and compositing.
This is the ambiance i want.
All is in progress, like the smoke i did fastly in photoshop. For the final i will try to do it better.
Bye

This looks already very good! I like the contrast between old and new.
I hope you find the time to finish the rat, it was a nice touch…looking forward to see the scene coming together!

2 remarks Nico…

I prefer the first framing finally… that catch more our eyes…

about the textures, maybe there’s too much rusty textures… or maybe you could play with their scales…

et quelques pièces en laiton… qui s’oxyde peu… et du cuivre, qui peut virer au vert-de-gris… ça éviterai d’avoir trop de “granuleux” dans l’image et quand même un contraste de matières crédible…

good job man… good courage for the last days… and if the rat could be here, that will be great of course

#192

Thanks both of you

You’re right Laurent.
So i changed my mind and i did new textures and new lighting.

The reflexion on Gepetto and pinocchio is a little bit too strong i think.

#193

I agree with laurent. and i think the way the textures look now works better. I prefer the framing too. looks like it is all coming together and will look really nice when finished.

#194

A bit too dark… especially around the lower part, but the textures are really better for me…and good way for the new lighting…

courage pour la dernière longueur… ça devient bon

#195

Oh yes, the new textures are better now:thumbsup: , but I agree that it is a little too dark…Don’t know why, but the bowl with the fish looks a little strange, more like massive glass, perhaps it helps to play with the IRs for glass and water?

#196

Thanks for the crits and the advice  It helps …

#197

This time not a big up, just few tests with effects and smoke to see fro the final image.
But with the next up i hope a big update with the end of modeling and texturing and why not lighting
Bye

#198

The little smoke effect is very well made and very esthetic… that have sense
