fantastic concept! Great interpretation of the story.

The details are really coming together nicely on this so far. One thing that’s changed from your earlier sketch is the bridge: It’s become a lot skinnier and now it just doesn’t look like there’s any way for Stromboli even fits on it. He looks like his treads aren’t even traveling parallel to the bridge but at an angle to it - and that just emphasized its skinniness, because there’s no way he would have approached that spot at an angle. That very first bridge sketch you posted had a much more workable width… nice curves to it, too! But aside from that, it looks great - I’ve really loved watching your design on this one. Good luck!
Your characters are just amazing! The lighting and contrast are great. I like the blue background will contrast nicely with the warm lights glowing fire inside the character. Keep up the good work.
I agree with walrus about the bridge. But everything else look great. I hope you make it in time

The rendering is sweet as well. good job ![]()
Best of luck to ya
Thanks guys. so glad to see the lack of sleeping hours was worth it. actually I have a few unfinished issues, like pinocchios pose that kind of got trashed during the speed coloring I did during last night. I’ll try to make a “final_01” version if I’ll make it.
any way- thanks for those who gave me crit and comment along the way. it’s been a pleasure, and most helpful during the braking points. :banghead:

inspiration:
“Charm and flattery are the facade for this heartless showman who burns his puppets for firewood when they’ve grown too old to perform. Money is the puppeteer’s sole passion, and his marionettes are only a means to an end. As soon as Stromboli realizes Pinocchio’s carnival potential – a puppet who can sing and dance without strings – he’ll stop at nothing. Only kidnapping can ensure this “little wooden gold mine” keeps performing for him, whether Pinocchio likes it or not.”

About my work:
I found Stromboli to be a perfect steam punk character who runs on steam, by feeding itself on the poor puppets woods. I choose to combine the carriage, which is usually a very colorful object, with the gear and metal of a tank, which symbolize the true nature of this villain
