These are the storyboards for our team video entry. Comments and feedback as always welcomed and appreciated! WIP will be uploaded soon.

We have 4 people in the team and all alumni from visual schools. Who’s doing what in our project: LJ - matte paintings for plates, environments; Sardanlai - concept art, character design and texturing, environments; Tominia - animation; Rigganator - character modeling and rigging, crowd simulation, compositing, dynamics and effects.

Sorry that we have been vague on the content of our story.

Mu Kuei-Ying was a famous ancient Chinese warrior and matriarch to the northern Empire of sung. After her her husbands death, general Yao, she took over his armies and won several battles. Once a great swordsman and archer, she was feared by most men all over china.

She dates to the similar times of Mulan(the woman warrior who took her fathers place in the chinese army).

With limited resource of her life and actual hard data, our story depicts her rise and acceptance as a woman warrior. We have also turned the emporer of china as the villain, one to refuse her as a commander in his kingdom. In reference, Mu Kuei had been denied help from the imperial army in several battles.
