Steampunk Myths and Legends Entry: Jürgen Johannes Jäckel

I have reorganized the steam around the punk.
I want to focus more on the 3 sirens.

Can you hear it?

First color tests.

This is so weird and disturbing. I will keep an eye on this! What type of heads are those?

Hi Jürgen,

It looks great.
I like your idea, very funny and original.
keep it up dude, and good luck.

Thx. I love it very weird and very, very disturbing. The heads are a type between of nice fishheads and ugly fishheads.
Thx. Wish you the same.

Amazing work…Love to see MORE!

Small Update.
Now it is time to create the rest.
I know now what i must do on my holidays.

hahah! i love this idea, makes me wanna get a shot gun…
i think you should make the upper parts of their body less glossy, some iridescent specularity only on the scales would look great

I am working on the scene around the 3 Sirens. There is much to model. I’m at work thinking about the scene and their contents. I do always the basis of preparatory sketches. But mostly, I see only at work, what comes out at the end.
That’s the advantage if you work for yourself, and not for others.

Here you can see … i think 90 % of the content.

Beautifully twisted. I look forward to the finished result.

Start to texture the mics.
This render is not final and not in best quality. Lighting and rendersetup i do on the end.

The most unique and disturbing sirens I have seen. Deliciously bent. I can’t wait to see more. The siren’s head are great enough but the pit hair really brings it over the ROFL edge.

Details, Details, Details…

2009 ahoi!

wires please. thanks. nice wires. and textures. very good work! im not happy, because my wine korks. your models make me smile again. keep up the good work, and your wacom pen and your 180graderer.

faichtz fetzly

i will meld me when i have time again from the moving

(Just kidding. I like your take on the Sirens – it’s quite inventive. Good luck!)

Software: BodyPaint,CINEMA 4D,Photoshop,ZBrush

The 3 sirens in concert

Theme: Steampunk in conjunction with myths and legends.
The idea was quickly found. I chose the sirens from Greek mythology. 3
should it be.
Now, the combination with Steampunk be found.
Technology. Machines.
Hm, ok…the sirens sing. Aha! They sing into microphones. The first
idea was an art concert hall. Later I decided for an art recording
Thus the 3 sirens are felt at home, they should be sitting on a small
piece of rock. I still wanted to somehow incorporate my own style.
First, I had very normal brains of 3 beautiful women on the bodies.
Hm. … to normal. To normal for me. So I decided for a crazy head. As I
often do with my work.

After the sketches were made, I started simultaneously with the sirens.
First, I built a low-poly mesh in Cinema 4D.
This was exported into ZBrush.
In ZBrush the mesh was refined. Details like the shed. Then made three
duplicate. I modeled the stone directly in ZBrush. Then I took the 3
sirens positioned on the stone.
Back in Cinema 4D I built the scaffold, which should keep the stone.
I exported the models from ZBrush to Cinema 4D.
Now it was time to fine the camera position.
The 3 sirens and the stone I had in ZBrush textured. I used the AUV
Tiles. It goes faster. But brings the disadvantage that a lot of post
is needed.
The rest I modeled in Cinema 4D.
Then it was time for the setup. Lights were set. Countless test
renderings made.
The final image I had made with the new Advanced renderer in Cinema 4D.
Finally, made the post a few hours with Photoshop.

And ready.
Can you hear it?

Sorry for my english. I am better in Computer Graphics than in
languages (i hope).

Great final Image and a real funny idea

Good luck to you/ C4D rules
