Our star cast members --Erica & Dorian.

A big thanks for all of their great work!

It was a long shoot, in some cold & windy conditions, but I think everyone had a blast and learned some things.

We will try to have some footage uploaded by Friday.

This is our first model of the snakes that we are going to use. This is only a rough draft.

it’s great " start" !
:buttrock::applause:

is it my browser, or is there no “play/pause” on the cgtalk player ?
the stream is very slow, and its impossible to pause the video to watch it without interuption.

#28

Thanks for the encouragement. We obviously have a ways to go with little time left, but we’re pretty happy how it’s going so far!

You are correct that there is no playback controls on cgsociety. Bit of a bummer, as there’s been several WIP that I wanted to step through more in depth. There’s been some great work posted.

This is a steam boiler.

This is a rough copy of what the door will look like at the end scene.

Software: XSI

This is a short segment of the VFX work. 3D elements were created in XSI. Roto’d actress in Silhouette and then comped it all together in AE. We’re still tweaking the comp, need a depth pass for the fog & shadow, and are going to probably change up the color correction. Feedback would be much appreciated.

I like it alot. Its almost got a Burtonesk feel to it. And it seems you guys had a ton of fun shooting it!

Thanks for the comment! The shoot was definitely a blast, even if it was one of those high wind 5 degree Chicago winter days! The whole project has been a great learning/development process for everyone involved.
