Steampunk Myths and Legends Entry: Jamshed Jurabaev
Finally idea baked in my mind
I took the well-known myth of lost continent.
The Atlantis.
This misterious civilization was lost centuries ago leaving us no physical evidence of its existance.
How can so technological and sophisticated civilization dissapear without any trace.
The answer is simple.
I my story,
The Atlantis was the first and only civilization that built up steam powered machines.
Steam powered huge robotic Atlants.
Steam was the core of whole continent.
Actually the heart of the continent was the huge steam engine.
Very giantic,
able to generate enough steam power to lift up the whole island of Atlantis.
So combining th ideas i had before,
i wanted to create spectacular shot, showing this moment of departure.
Departure of Atlantis to the unexplored universe.
I want to go further to open my story.
Maybe it was not the vulcano erruption that doomed the Atlantis.
But it was the steam generated by giantic core of the continent that people saw from surrounding islands.
I hope i can develope attractive and interesting story based on my ideas.
i want to create a concept images that i can used in creating the storyboard.
This is the departure of my Atlantis.
Slightly different from the previous,
i want to show close shots showing how this massive island lifts off using its steam engines.
A temple of the Poseidon,
the mighty creator of the Atlantis.
The God of water and steam of course :))
I am thinking about huge steamcore,
the heart of Atlantis,
it`s really have to be very massive,
to generate enough steampower.
Uncomfortable with a hitech feel,
have to work on that.
Cool environment concepts, very epic. We though about something like that for our project too. Cant wait to see it in 3D.
Yah! it looks like 3D right now! I wish you succeed to convert these amazing feels right in 3D next so,
keep up great works and hurry!
m,
Amazing atmosphere in your concepts! Good luck to you!
Your brush is brave. :arteest:
(maybe try to make it a little bit more steampunkish…)
This is greate - love it. I like the shoots and perspective - feel the distance…
I like your idea with vulcano
Very good looking concepts! Diggin the implied detail in the steamcore!
We’ve chosen to base our entry around Atlantis as well, so it’s gonna be exciting to see your take on it!
