I like the idea, medusa has always been really creepy to me, ever since clash of the titans, that movie scared the heck out of me as a child! Now as a huge charging machine it only gets better.

Apart from this and looking at the entries, don´t you guys think that this particular challenge will be really memorable? I don´t know why but I have this feeling about it… =)
I´m starting to construct this image. A very first layer of tones to begin the work. The other elements like people, background…are not here, but they will =) The ground will be covered like a sea of dollars, I guess.

ah, update time! Allways hard to tell something about the details from these concept sketches, but I already can imagine this frightening snake at the side:thumbsup: ! Not sure though about the lamps, somehow they look far to fragile for such a violent beast…but perhaps you have something different in mind with it…Looking forward to see more!

Good to see you on steam punk man. I like your concept its good and has great potential, one suggestion your pre-viz picture on thread number three. Its really nice, it has scale, it has mass and it got more personality. seriously man go for that.
