An idea I had to adapt ‘Robert Louis Stevenson Treasure Island’ for this competition, and have the island as a massive steampunk structure, but I think it won’t be accepted as a Myth or Ledgend, so back to the drawing board
Some ideas I have researched for the challenge.
The creation of the giants causeway here in ireland by the giant Finn McCool, it might be good to make a steampunk mech McCool vs Fingal.
leprechauns, but not the Cliché little green guys, perhaps a well dressed, creepy, engineer type steampunk leprechaun with a mech crock o’ gold
Jack and the beanstalk, maybe a big beanstalk made outta pipes and gears
King Midas, gold steampunk mech? (im running outta ideas now
These are two concepts I created for the two giants, I used Alchemy to generate the base shapes and photoshop to add some details
Here is a quick concept I put together for the idea of a steampunk banshee, made out of springs, cogs and clock parts
Hello Gerard,
Very cool stuff. I think you should go with the leprechauns. Do a steampunk forest vehicles the whole show.Best of luck,
Brad
Thanks Brad! the leprechaun idea is starting to grow on me, but i must make sure its not to tacky and cliche
Cheers Cyberone! Im not really a great concept artist or painter but all these comments are motivating me a lot,
Thanks everyone!
Hi there,
Really cool designs those robots! I love the details and golden shapes. Can´t wait to see them in action. Good luck!
Heres a concept for the Leprechaun character, I’m gonna work on a few different styles for this guy to find an interesting design
