Definitely interesting by trying to do an image with this aesthetic style.
I’ve not make a cg challenge since the Eon one…long time ! but i’m happy to see some others old knowed faces

First idea when i read subject is to work around the pied piper of Hamelin story :

"In 1284, while the town of Hamelin (Germany) was suffering from a rat infestation, a man dressed in pied garments appeared, claiming to be a rat-catcher.
He promised the townsmen a solution for their problem with the rats.
The townsmen in turn promised to pay him for the removal of the rats. The man accepted, and thus played a musical pipe to lure the rats with a song into the Weser River, where all of them drowned.
Despite his success, the people reneged on their promise and refused to pay the rat-catcher. The man left the town angrily, but returned some time later, seeking revenge.

Few days after, while the inhabitants were in church, he played his pipe again, this time attracting the children of Hamelin. One hundred and thirty boys and girls followed him out of the town, where they were lured into a cave and never seen again."

Try to do some rough now, re-edit the story and see if it's possible to try a composition with this.

see you soon.

woot ! after searching some refs, the fist rough concept and near-detailled sketches and tries.

The concept is simple, in same order than the pied piper’s legend, this one play music to atract childs in is ship.
Ship is based on caravelle travelboat…at this moment!
ahah!
Maye increase the perspective view, to accentuate the domination of the player, and add a dramatical feeling.

Based on my first sketch and some references found on the net, here the first polys for the Steampiano player.
i hope to create a clean and pre-detailled mesh then try to transpose into mudbox or Zb to add another level of details.
