We are doing Robinson Crusoe, with a very melancholy ending. This image is from our working animatic, to be posted soon.

This is a collaboration between me, JadeTiger_CG, and jLudwick.
Hope you guys are still working on this because I think it could be pretty dramatic.
One crit I do have is how the shot ends. I think the idea is create a sense of isolation which is good. But I’m wondering if you could have the environment mimic something from the novel. Maybe the shot pulls back to show him “shipwrecked” on some planet. Maybe even a tropical planet inhabited by alien “natives.” I guess I’m just looking for something more to indicate it’s Crusoe.
We’re investing heavily in the conceptual stage. All in all, we are basing the piece on Robinson Crusoe rather than just reproducing it. The modern idea that planets within billions of light years from us can’t support life, well - it just seemed appropriate that a steampunk space traveler would discover this in a horrible, sad way.
