Latest Update: Concept / pre-visualization: Steampunk moon ship 3d

Hi, first time entrant - looking forward to this!
I have gone with a Japanese myth/folklore tale of Kaguya-Hime and “The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter”. You can find the story on wikipedia, but, in short:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tale_of_the_Bamboo_Cutter
There is a celestial battle on the moon and the princess is sent down to earth. She is found as a baby by a bamboo cutter in a piece of glowing bamboo. When she grows up she is very beautiful and princes from around the world wish to marry with her but the bamboo cutter gives them each an impossible quest to win her hand in marriage.
The princes try to cheat by bringing back replica magic quest items so none get to marry her. Finally, the “moon people” call her back home!
A great little tale and one that stirs the imagination
I am currently doing a concept image of the machine which takes the baby princess to Earth. I will post it soon. Cant wait to get modeling in 3D.
Good luck everyone!
Pre-visualisation of the moon ship which takes the little princess to earth. Didn’t take inspiration from anywhere, just let it flow out of my head! To create the detail I will check out pics of old steam trains and engines online. Post them when i get them.
Here is the 3d model WIP of the moon ship. This ship carries the little princess from the moon to earth. Need to start riveting now!! Have to put some smoke stacks somewhere and fill in the missing parts at the top. The baby princess is in the small capsule at the bottom!
