My first concept piece. I decided to go with an emotionally charged subject by picking the death of Romeo in Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet as my image. In this case the two ‘families’ are androids vs humans, with Romeo and Juliet being the focal point of the conflict…

I am gathering reference material, researching the subject and want to create a lush, romantic pre raphaelite palate, like John Waterhouse or Alma-Tadema. I also want to add a bit more industrial ‘punk’ to the steampunk vibe with possible design and texture influence of Chichoni, Serpieri or Moebius. Of course also drawing from classic Fritz Lang’s ‘Metropolis’.
