Hey everybody..

This is an idea sketch telling my concept.
I'm imagining a giant steam punk hydra built to keep the entrance of a well protected city.

After the hydra builded, they started to call the city as "Lerna". At the real myth, hydra keeps the gate standing between this world and the world after death. And "Lerna" is the name of the swamp where the creature lives. Killing Hydra was one of the Heracle's duty. It was very hard to kill the creature because when he cuts of a head a new one was growing again and again.

I'll try to realize it in a realistic fight or war. The huge machine will have the same properties. New heads will come on again when one is destroyed.

I like the idea to match it with this steampunk subject. A giant machine built to keep the gate and engineers seems to be inspired from mythology. Mythology must be smarter then them ..:)

I didn't decide any design or something here by now. This is only a simple idea sketch. Everything can change as my usual works ..:)

Nice to be here everybody... Good creations..

I decided my scene and story. I could find a couple of hours today and made a Photoshop sketch for the first visualization.

I prefered the Hydra guarding and patroling around the gate. While it’s on duty, some unknown guests comes towards it. I imagine this inert scene and somehow I like it a lot. I see it became so moody…
