Latest Update: Work In Progress: new composition?

#2

Just throwing out some ideas. From left to right: Daedalus, Prometheus, and Arachne. I did these before I realized that the Minotaur was used as an example for the challenge. The Arachne concept ended up looking like steampunk weaving, and I couldn’t think of a way to emphasize the mythology element. I think I will keep working on the Prometheus concept and see where that goes.

Looking for a good composition.

I decided to go with the theme of Prometheus stealing fire (or, in this case, steam) from Mt. Olympus.

ooh, interesting sketch. I’ll keep my eyes out on this one. Good luck

Hi, you have a good concept too…Good luck

Trying to get a feel for this strange contraption. Right now it feels a little too random, like none of the elements are meshing together quite right. I got some new ideas while working on this, so I may end up changing it quite a bit.

Hi Aly,

I like your idea of prometheus stealing fire, but i like more the prometheus of your first sketches. In the last one he see out of perspective. You have very nice character desings in your blog, so you can work a better prometheus. I like the Steam Arm.

keep it up and good luck.

Changed the composition after getting some notes on it. It’s still very rough, and I haven’t figured out what those foreground elements are yet. I’m still not quite happy with the placement of everything. Although I think this looks more menacing, I think I’m losing a lot of scale, so I’m going to work on bringing that back.

[edit] Now looking at the thumbnail, the background is too skewed to the right.
