static fluid changes with camera angle

#1

Hey there,

I have got a nasty little problem with my fluid, I tried to solve it on my own for the last hours but I failed so hopefully someone out there has a solution for me!

Here is what I want - fluid that looks like clouds/sunset.
I am pretty happy with the style - I painted the density and added a spaceTime Texture.
Rendering a not moving Camera every frame looks the same (good! ^^)
But I need to render a camera which slowly flys through the clouds.
And here comes the problem, the fluid is slightly changing from frame to frame (baad!!).
I tried to increasy quality and changed sampled Method and Interpolation and changed the Depth max and Anti Aliasing but the slight change form picture to picture stayed.
It looks like there was a noise coming from the texture, but nothing is animated.

I attached a small rendering to show the problem.

Since I tried everything and couldn t help myself hopefully someone else can!
Thanks a lot in advance!!

Would be nice if you can post the scene as well :>.
Did you made the fluid density static and kill the velocity as well?

Seems to me that the problem here is that space time 3d noise you’ve added. there is a command for baking the texture of a fluid into itself for static fluids.

cant remember the specific command but a quick search here or in docs will help you find it.

thanks for the replies!

@kdronez - here is a weTransfer Link to my scene - since my fluid went nuts without caching it the ZIP includes cache for 100frames as well.

And the fluid is static and has no velocity - rendered with a static camera - everything is fine - the problem comes with the movement.

@mandark1011 - like I just wrote, the problem comes with the moving camera - so I think the noise cant be the problem…

I thought quality settings might cause the noise, but I changed all of them to hurtfully high values and the problem stayed the same. Maybe I didnt change the right values…( I mainly tried - shading Quality/Sample Method/Depth Max(Texture)/Anti Aliasing/Volume Samples…)

Hey there!
In the last week I continued to try everything that came to my mind to get rid of that flickering.
Its so annoying. Perhaps its just a bug, I recreated the whole scene, but the problem stayed - I tried different settings, sometime the problem stays- sometimes it doesnt- i cant find the source. I am going crazy!
If you have any ideas, I would appreciate any help!!
