Playing around with uv’ing and the sculpting…

nice!

How did you handle the UV seams? Are they just hidden well?

I noticed that displacement painting across them doesn’t work that well and results in artifacts(visible seams) in most cases. For the project I’m currently working on I’m going with an extra set of UVs covering the seam areas. This works great, but it’s an extra step I’d like to avoid in future.

Don’t bother, I’ve seen the UVs over at the Lux forum. But still, did you encounter any problems, when sculpting across the borders?

#5

They seem to be fine in the render, but the seem to have a bit of artifacting in the open GL…

#6

While the problems are much worse in the viewports, they are still noticeable in the render for me. Guess, I’ll continue with my current work around. Thanks, though.

#7

Does it happen on all seams for you? On a sphere? IF you grab a piece of geometry where its really bad, sent it to lux in a bug report. Lets get it fixed.

Here is a quick rotation around it:
