Standalone renderer not working properly

I’m running Vue 6 infinite on a mac g5, running leopard. 5Gb of RAM.
When render animations with the standalone renderer, they show up as plain white. nothing in them, although there are frames. if i rendered a 20 second animation, when it finished i get 20 seconds of white screen.
However, if i am rendering a .tif it works fine.
It’s the same if i have 3 billion polys or 2000.
Anyone have any ideas for me to try? any help is more certainly appreciated.

Check you don’t have any other programs that might clash, and make sure you have all the updates? Sorry I can’t be more help.
