Stair Geometry

So I really love the stair features in 3DS Max, but for importing things into Unreal and other programs, the “box” stairs have a nasty “n-gon” on the sides. I was wondering if there’s a way to automatically resolve this without having to cut every single polygon out. Thanks in advance!
