I told you allready, it’s fine art .
:wise:
yea like building the Eiffel tower from toothpicks …
fine piece of art, definitely memorable, but takes a while, eh?
:bounce:
.
Considering the 2000 years of study it took to even get there, I’ll be soft on you considering your somewhat flawed mathematics.
Like slapping together as many bricks as possible and calling it a wall, with interesting texture :wip: .
, you misplaced the horizon by a few miles…
there ain’t a horizon in the pic, dude, so don’t go around pretending you found one.
didn’t bother to use them help lines and i wasn’t really interested about the horizon
anyways, so i let it run free
.
gosh squib~havent check into the wip section and u’ve already got 3 pages on ur thread.amazing progress here, great posture of the creature, and i see u have made changes on the mouth, haha.i like both~:scream:
Really nice pic squibbit. Would have been cool to have the snake shiny too. For light play like the reflections on the gold/metal.
How long did it take you?
A whole day… rather not tell cause it was just way too long, but blah
yea i tried the reflections on the snake, but they turned out so crappy
the sorta vanished then…
.
Ah too bad, have you considered painting at higher resolutions, I think it’s easier for little details like scales.
It’s great nonetheless :).
Really nice squib, stop being so self critical! slaps squibbit with a wet trout.
This is a very cool piece - I love the background colour. I think that really gives so much of a flair to it. I don’t think you should shinefy the snake - it’ll spread the eye out too much when looking at the piece. It’s nice to have a texture contrast beween the metal and the snake.
The snakes eyes are good, the whole face just has something very “squibbit” about it. Haha, don’t take that the wrong way, it’s good. I also like the stringy-smoky stuff coming out of the glowing ball.
sudden inspiration, a matte painting, Halloween thingy :

and the original, found from the web:

Ooooooooo great work Squib!!
I like the last one hehe
I like you new avatar by the way
Squibbsters,
ROFL, when are you going to do an animated movie based on your amazing (though peculiar) fantasy paintings? I want to see “The Nightmare before Squibbstas!”
When may we expect it the theatahs?
Cheers,
