no comments or crits?

this still looks to me like you’re setting up the scene and adding more stuff later
the design on the dress is gorgeous, the background is intriguing, tho might need more ambience perhaps, and the composition looks like it’s going to be a humor piece (which was why i thought a pig would be really cute at her side lol)
i’m not much of a crit, i’m afraid… your works all look great to me even in WIP stages

#183

what in the compositon makes you think it is a humour piece?

I mean I can understand if I’d put a pig there by her side,
grinning from ear to ear, leaning close to the ‘camera’ and
add a little fish eye perspective, that it could look funny,
but without it ?

The comments you gave are exactly what i needed, I wanted to
know how you see the pieces, thank you

here’s a fresh one, just saw Batman Begins, pretty cool movie

took about 25 mins to paint

Your batman is incredible mate… we feel well the duality… between the real man… and his other bat-superhero-face… feeling increase thanks to the 2 tones used…
…the orientation of the ground introduce him to slip toward his destiny…

Do you have the same in bigger size Panu ?

#186

whoa~love that bad man piece dude~gorgeous:scream:

#187

I love this sketch Squib. You should make this a finished piece.

#189

i agree, i agree !

amazing sketches squib. the batman sketch was really nice. i love the futurisk ones witht the craft hitting the graound the the guy waiting with the gun

Figure looking great…I love her dress…and the pattern on it…Very Queen Amidala-like.
The background building can use a little more contrast especially the obelisk with one side lit and the other in shadow…so the form of it is more define…unless you want them to be just sillhouette…

The dome is i think is too close to the edge of the roof level. I know its hard to shade a convincing dome :D. Great courage to brave that tho Panu!

Horh? How could Ive missed this one!?? AWESOME piece! I think Lemog is spot on with his interpretation…i would second him with that!

25 minutes is a super speedie …no comment…awesome2

#193

i think it’s the ratio between the girl and the background… usually something that looms right up to the “camera” and towering almost over the background is either menacing or amusing (to me anyways), and the appearance of the girl in a non-menacing pose sorta suggests humor… at least, that’s my point of view on this

so is your sketch!:buttrock: i third the suggestion to make it a finished piece, the composition is really cool

hi, now i could be wrong , but the legs of the lady seem to be to long.

But may be it’s only me.

Hey! That last one looks awesome! I love the purple-bluish color u hav there! Heh only took 20 min…? damn i need to practise more

#196

sometimes it helps to paint a skeleton over the character to see the proportions
better and stuff… how does it look now ? (in my eyes it’s not badly off)

#197

Looks ok to me, with or without the skeleton…nice skeleton niway squibbs!

#198

worked a little on batman, how’s it look now?

#199

Splendid! I love the shininess of the cape…although i think Gotham should be on the left…

edit: then again there would be no space for the bats…

… saves bat-image for his personal squibworshiping folder, leaves with no feedback left…
