Speeding Up Part of Animation

#1

I have an attack animation that I would like to speed up the actual swing portion of. Is there an easy way to just select a few keyframes in the middle and speed those up? Thanks.

Hi,

Hopefully the following will help…

Space-bar right click the root of the skeleton to select the entire hierarchy.
In the Fcurve window Ctrl select the Translation and Rotation properties.
In the TimeWarp tab create a TimeWarp Curve by clicking Create and Apply
Frame the TimeWarp curve in teh FCurves window by placing your pointer over it and clicking A on the keyboard.
Add keys to the TimeWarp curve at the start and end of the section of animation you want to speed up using “Key” in Key Controls panel.
Select the key at the end of the section you want to speed up and the last key on the TimeWarp curve and move it to the left. This will speed up the action.
Playback the animation to test the speed change. If your display slows down during playback try deselecting the skeleton (Double-Click in an empty space in the Viewer window) or switching to a tab other than FCurves.
When you’re happy with the results frame the take and click Merge.

Good Luck
