:)Nice one Swoop, I like a lot the atmosphere. Perhaps could you make the building more straight and work a bit more on the perspective?

Here is a color study (unfortunately, I’ve tried differents settings and differents wiews on photobucket, imageshack…and the colors are less saturated than the original). Any tip?
one hour, PS
bye

Yeah i noticed the crooked perspective when i was finished (cant see the forrest for trees hehe) and i didnt feel like spending more time on it
But thanks for your critique

One hour, done after a party this night…
Well, started in a SF/adventure 's style, but…in the process, I 've changed it for something more funny.
Bye

~45 minutes, photoshop, no reference.

Another beach-themed piece wasn’t going quite as well as I wanted…I seem to have a lot of trouble painting cliffs and rocky surfaces, even if they aren’t made sharp as a twig. So, I decided to go and mess around today. Heh…right now, I’m having second thoughts about this piece, but it was interesting to do. That’s me, though - I will always beat myself up after doing something. At least I managed to motivate myself to do something today, which is far better than most days which I begin on a game…

EDIT: Hmmm…how do I show images from my Portfolio here? I think it’s awkward how I keep using Imageshack when I should have my image displayed like everyone else.

Arnocob, the problem with the desaturation is that most browsers don´t support ICC-profiles. However they are expecting pictures to be in sRGB as a kind of preset. So it´s always a good idea to convert your pictures in sRGB before posting, you don´t necessarily have to integrate the profile . I do, but most people don´t. Doesn´t make a big difference anyway. What you shouldn´t do is to post pictures including an Adobe RGB-profile.
Interesting colorscheme btw. Like it.

Koshime, that one rocks! It´s more an expression rather than showing fancy details which is just to my taste.

90 refless minutes in PS&Painter

Art: nice one! Can you recommend a good site where I could learn more about these color profiles of which you speak? Beyond the differences between RGB and CMYK, I’m pretty oblivious.
