Spiro I’ll be nice with your collage, great idea all I can say is the collage took 3 min the actual image will take 3 months, good luck to you.

Lol, I thought you drew that at first and was like, “He made that in one and a half days?” It looks cool, but make sure the background is REALLY cool. Right now it looks like… not THAT awe inspiring. Maybe add some gold stuff or giant statues? I don’t know… Good luck and use those creative juices!
ar LutiK: Tell me about it, a lot of plants and trees, the ruins, 2 characters. Yeah i will have my hands full.
gardogg: There will definatly be alot of gold and the lighting will bring that out as well.
Mr Micro26: Thanks, me too!
agree with james comment about challenging ammount of work, but it can be come out a very strong image !

It could really work well I think!
However, to add to the mysterious sense of this moment - and most importantly to convey it to a random audience who see only the picture, and don’t know anything about the story surrounding it - maybe you should consider keeping some typically antarctic features in the background somehow… maybe there could be some elevated terrain in the background that still looks snowy/icy… that would even increase the contrast of the image in a good way - the buildings and vegetation being so much more out of place and enigmatic.
.
Yeah, I definatly agree. I will have to see how everything will evolve together. I’m probably gonna start modeling the palace first (whole, then I will break it up and make it look really old and falling apart, yet leaving some peices, probably gold and metel pretty intact) then the characters and last the terrain and foilage. The ruins are actually a hotel in South Africa called the Sun City or Lost City or something, so I’m trying to gather some imagery and trying to figure out how to “not” make it look like a hotel. But definatly some ice caps would be cool.
Lots of vegetation will be a pain to do, but looks real promising. Now I wish I had done a simple collage instead of trying to draw which I really can’t, ending up confusing people with my concept.
I know, I’m not really sure what type o approach I’ll take on the plants and trees. Does anyone have a suggestion? I’m not sure what the rules are as far as paint effects and other programs like terragen. I’ll have to check.
So I’ve done some rule searching and programs for terrain and plants are exceptable. So that somewhat solves my problem. i’ll start my modeling soon!
Ok, I’ve started. It’s not much, but I’m hoping to make my WIP very detailed. Anyway, this is one of the torches that will be on the bridge on the way to the palace. Now I kinda have to make a big decision here and pick if I’m just going to texture everything at the end, or texture as I go. Suggestions?
here’s a little update, on the top for the palace. I’m gonna try and tackle all the smaller peices first and the attack the main building. This doesn’t have much detail, because hopefully the texture will speak alot more from such a distance. Please critique.
Very nice model of building and prop. I really like the lush environment encasing with lots of vegetations.
Another little update. I keep modeling details, but I’m really wondering how much will be needed. I’ll continue modeling those details, and delete what I don’t need later.
