Veeeeerrrryyy nice Lemog !
Isn’t the bump texture of the wood a bit too strong ?
I realy like the tone of the picture. As usual you’re making the right choice on the colors .
I love it .

See you plus tard

Good details I love details…:thumbsup:

Hi Laurent, Thanks fot making the detail on the head clear :smiley: :smiley: i was wondering about the pavement on the balcony. I think it depends on the final image who much you want them to stand out. The second image stands out more and your eyes almost imidiatelly go there. I would think that it would distract the focus on the main character because its that saturated with color. on the other way this maybe because of the difference it has with the other materials already in the scene, because they are less saturated. As for the pavement tilling i would say that i looks better if it repeats itself as the gate in the ornament does. This will give the “same chronology effect” and not distract the eye from the main character in motion. IMHO

Becca -> Finally, my pleasure in that, it’s to re-create something, without think “technicity” of our tools, our 3d tools… just to keep the vision of the builder, of the architect, and so…

Polygons or technics are secondary in this thread, for many reasons… I’m not a champion of 3d technic, and I prefer to display and watch a pleasany picture than a snapshot of the software viewport… I can’t change I think, and I understand I’m worse at each challenge… eark…

Finally, I think that these many steps of wip are more important for me than the final picture. I’m afraid to work for a picture during 3 months and don’t have as memories only this final image, in my case, I can see behind and watch another time all these wip pictures.

And if I can give again more pleasure to the spectators, it’s better, and the goal will be obtained. Often if finally at the end, this image don’t win. I would remain finally gaining of a personal challenge, most important thus.

Thanks for this! Great and insightful comments. :slight_smile: Yours is definitely a friendly and entertaining thread to see develop, amazing stuff, thanks! :slight_smile:

Cheers, :slight_smile:

marc_lauper -> Thanks for encouragement… durst comes during the final way…

Scootermaya -> Surely the bump is a little bit high, but the camera will not closer like that… I must setup in this goal… Thanks Mr le Conférencier :applause:

Tolga -> :bowdown:

Jannis -> you understand well, finally, the good choice about this paving will give by the last framing… it must don’t disturb so much eyes of the principal subject. I keep like that for the moment… I’m waiting more. Thanks for your interesting words.

Becca -> Thanks ‘fangirl’ :arteest:

Now, let’s place to the fun steps, with my first Wallpaper of this challenge… not very beautiful, buy I hope very funny…

#428

just wanna spam this thread :wink: .
your concepts are good as always. very challenge you find your own style. not always in your concepts, althought in your prasentation. really good. :buttrock:

#429

For the bronze, very easy… a simple “blinn” material with a yellow-green color, and the bump map below converted in B&W (of 3dTextures…)

“trop” ou “fast” ou “f***”… 3 different words I think. :smiley:

In order, the most important things in my concept…

  1. See Pictures…
  2. Have Thoughts…
  3. Divide with friends…
  4. Learn…

100) Win the challenge :scream: hahaha

Thanks to spam here André :thumbsup:
