Gus_clifton -> Thanks Gustavo

SergioKomic Di Caprio -> To be Nut is my way of life :scream:

Swed -> Well… if they heads are not visible at the end, it’s not a real problem for me… but normally, they will be visible. In first, I do that for the pleasure, and I can assure that in my job… I don’t loose time to create invisible pieces…

Becca -> How don’t know exactly how come this head idea…

Agamemnwn -> in my delirious, I had envisaged fixing these metal headson wood with nails… but with the scale of vision, for sure, those are obviously invisible, congratulations for your talents of observation Jannis.

bne ->[/b] re-thanks… I don’t forget… hahaha… I finish to answer at all these kind words, and I will post update before my little night of rest.

James -> :eek:

Thitipon -> Thanks… these heads are in fact in very low poly you know… I must take care to the number now…

Nomad -> I don’t know if “spectacular” details can be judged at the final… hahaha… Thanks Maciej and good holidays

Monsitj -> you’re certainly right… and for the cd title, maybe : “built your medieval house” ? haha :thumbsup:

DaddyMack -> Well Robert, now I understand… you’re totally right… I don’t remember this part not finished, or forgotten. I fact, I’ve planed to put some statues at the top of these littles columns… small statues of monks, they should partly have hidden the connection. But I completely forgotten this detail. :shrug:

And sincerely, I don’t know if I would do them, the environment is already charged, I would see a little later. In any case, thank you to have noticed this big error. Cheers ! :thumbsup:

Verdell -> Thanks buddy :buttrock:

ar Lutik -> "I’m not suprised awesome work." ? Thanks a lot, but are you really sure… ? my preceding results are there to prove it, :deal: hahahaha
I have still much progress to do. It’s certainly one of the reason why I persist here.

Well, now update… and bed…

The wood assembly for the balcony floor.

#385

hey lemog i guess i like both the way u model and the way u texture too :slight_smile:
good luck

#386

First paving test… based on an original medieval paving.

I work on it only in bump map, in the same style that the rest, but I’m not sure that will be a real good idea… I will go to do some other test with the real texture… certainly better…

Seeya… and thanks to you all my friends… girls and guys…

Your incredible support and your fantastic interest for my participation touch me a lot… and that push me much… MANY THANKS…

#387

C superbe :slight_smile:

J’adore tes dernières images, c pas constructif mais c vrai :slight_smile:

#388

hi lemog those a just amazing detai… i mean just not up to the standard …total crap;)
cheers!:smiley:

#389

héhé, one more incredibely detailed madness goin’on, following you Antoine :bounce:

#390

Actually think it works really well on those parts. Just tweak the basic shader a bit though, because it looks a bit plastic right now… but the ‘bump-only’ approach is interesting, and it does look good!

#391

thanks for your kind words laurent :smiley: really appriciate this. seeing you guys working on this challenge makes me eager to participate but i want to finish my pocket watch first and then i will enter this challenge and try my best. :smiley: :smiley: ty

#392

Wow, so cool! It’s like watching the mind of an architect or engineer. Lemog fans, unite! :scream::love::smiley: :applause:

#393

wow go niche :buttrock::love:

you are really damn fast my friend.

for today i have only one suggestion: this all looks so damn new, maybe you should make it a little bit more weathered to symbolize the might of the knowledge hidden within. not cracked or so but some kind of hm wisdom of age. am totally nuts to speak of wisdom of age from stones

wahh the smacks head on stone smiley is gone -.-. curious thing that is, sometimes there are these smileys and sometimes others… hm…

#394

Bon courage! :slight_smile: ca m’a l’air bien parti

#395

Hey Lemog,

You have some nice texture stuff happening. Iis the centre part of the balcony on the left side in your last image not a little too low. The wood centre accent floor is lower compared to the medievil paving stone on the right, shouldn’t they be the same.

Your image is shaping up to be great.:thumbsup:

#396

great and for now , no need to any crit and comment . just waiting for more progress .goodluck …

#397

eeekkkcchh!!plaaaMMMM!!! fall of my chair mate…your details on the textures are awesome…u already know that frined!!:thumbsup:

#398

Awesome progress, but I don`t understand which is the concept sketch.

Maybe the concept with the stairs.

Please explain to me.

#399

Laurent we all have progress to do, but where I’m not suprise is the amount of details you gor for, that’s what I like about you just go wild, your mother earth was nuts for the amount of details, but I have to admit that this image is less chaotic so we can actually appreciate the details even more, that gate is cool, I’m working on a Waka (Maori canoe) and they’re like you for details they put alote, great work so far.

#400

Elendil le Génial -> pas constructif, maus ça fait foutrement plaisir… merci beaucoup Nicolas…

Yunisirees -> hahahaha :scream:

shtl -> Thanks for your words my friend Corentin.

JamesMK -> You’re right, you point exactly the tyhing I don’t like, the plastic aspect… 2 solutions, work more on the material… or used the real textures I’ve planed before to put on it… I post nearly some new render test. Thanks for your advice James.

Agamemnwn -> I just discover your pocket watch… hey… fantastic work Jannis… I like that… for sure, with all these details, that rocks…

Becca -> Finally, my pleasure in that, it’s to re-create something, without think “technicity” of our tools, our 3d tools… just to keep the vision of the builder, of the architect, and so…

Polygons or technics are secondary in this thread, for many reasons… I’m not a champion of 3d technic, and I prefer to display and watch a pleasany picture than a snapshot of the software viewport… I can’t change I think, and I understand I’m worse at each challenge… eark…

Finally, I think that these many steps of wip are more important for me than the final picture. I’m afraid to work for a picture during 3 months and don’t have as memories only this final image, in my case, I can see behind and watch another time all these wip pictures.

And if I can give again more pleasure to the spectators, it’s better, and the goal will be obtained. Often if finally at the end, this image don’t win. I would remain finally gaining of a personal challenge, most important thus.

Llynna -> I would work more on the aspect of the stones, wood and materials in general when I would be more advanced. These adjustments will change inevitably with the type of lighting, and also a little according to the framing, then, for the moment, I would return more in detail in a few days.

But a thing is certain, the decoration will be unified more to preserve at the subject its attraction. It’s only the environment intended to plant the decoration, not the principal subject of the scene. Thank you very much for your opinion Britta.

feerik -> Merci Joel :thumbsup:

mmoir -> it’s just a render test for this paving stones, but of course that they will be identical Mike, finally, not completely, identical but different. Thanks for comment.

Ramtin -> you’re always welcome mate :wavey:

Jorge -> mmh mmh… take more care about you ass my friend… just stay with us on your chair… and always thanks to come here. :cool:

Romelalgo -> just for you, this is the story about my concept…
Plunged in the culture”.
The history occurs in what we supposes being a keep used like a library. Thousands of books are laid out around, on many stages. We sees many balconies and many staircases. A young man (or a girl) is here, avid there of knowledge and culture. His arms are charged with a lot of books. An important book and very coveted, seems to be extracted violently from the opposed library, above the hole. The young man springs to catch this important book, in a spectacular jump “to the culture and knowledge”, but which will involve it in the hole, and to his death.

ar Lutik -> you’re right for the moment… this scene appear now less chaotic than the picture in the previous challenge… but It’s not finish… I always can fall in the dark side you know (and I remind you that chaos was integral part of the history of “Mother Nature”.) Anyway, big thanks for your kind words… Before to go to sleep… I just see your whale… but now you’re working on the Waka… good, I must see that soon…
